Has anyone figured out how electricity billing actually works yet?  I've just had a pleasant surprise with my latest bill because it's €10 less than my previous bill and €2 less than my previously lowest bill ever - which is great!  What I don't understand is why.  It's now six months since I fitted a timer to my boiler, which appeared to make very little difference to the cost of my bills.  I still use my dishwasher and washing machine the same and I still have the same number of devices to charge.  The only difference I'm aware of is that I switched off my computer and router while I was in the UK last weekend, but surely 3/4 days of not supplying my computer or router during a two month period shouldn't be enough to save a whole 10 euros on the last bill  :undecided:  If it is I'll try turning them off at night and see if that makes even more of a difference!

Have you looked at the dates when they read the meter? It is never exactly one calendar month, so there is going to be a small variation because the period measured is never the same. This would be particularly noticeable over Easter if a reading is 5 days late or early.

different tariffs? summer vs winter?? :undecided:

My last three meter readings were 26th November, 28th January and 29th March.  I don't see anything to indicate a seasonal tariff, however, looking at the calculation breakdown it does look as though the price might have been reduced at the beginning of the year  :great:

Looks like the tariff has been reduced from 0.115187 to 0.114873 and the cost of each KwH from 0.135366 to 0.1338  :great:

This was lurking at the bottom of the bill:

QuoteLos precios de la energía de esta tarifa se han actualizado el 01/01/2016 trasladando las variaciones reguladas en la Orden IET/2013/2013 de 31 de octubre y en
la Orden IET/2735/2015 de 17 de diciembre.
