No, don't think it's Doris.  Just very windy.  Lots of tall ships mooring outside Los Gigantes harbour.  It's all noisy as hell.

In Puerto Santiago it is cool and lovely today.  That's for those who are interested. 

The rest of this post is for @Marion and @Michael who have an interest in the Balcón, since I can't find a way to attach a photo to a PM. 

So, they've been working on the pool area for three months now, making more racket than you can possibly imagine and making life hell for anybody who lives here.  The dust has been horrible and everybody's had to wash their windows. 

When they started, they covered all the pools:  main, kiddie and jacuzzi. You remember, the ones they drained and retiled last year.  Naturally they did a piss poor job so time and wind enabled all kinds of crap to get into the pools.  Last week they drained the kiddie pool and jacuzzi and have been trying to clean them ever since.

The main pool is, not to put too fine a point on it, a fucking disaster.  There's what looks like an algal bloom which they've been trying to get rid of using one of those butterfly net jobs.  All in all, they've just fucked around and today the fuckwits are finally draining the main pool.  All of the newly installed plastic stuff around the edge is now stained and they have been working with a bucket of water and a scrub brush to lean it off.  Idiots. 

Oh what the people in A/B have to look forward to!
