Oh God . . . here we go . . . . . non stop sweating until November.

I've no idea how we will stand it.

[countdown=01,06,2021,13,30][/countdown] until I return to Tenerife!

Its one of those days that remind me of why we came here, or one of the reasons anyway  :) Clear blue sky's 23deg a very slight cooling breeze blowing off the sea, no traffic, dogs to hot to bark! Ahhhh peaceful....Think I'll put some Rodrigo on  :D

I went up to the roof this afternoon in shorts and fell asleep in the warm sun.  Loved it!

The forecast is still a bit unclear as to quite how wet it's going to be towards the end of this week but one thing is very clear. From tomorrow, we're in for a cold spell from the north, a last blast of winter before Spring starts properly, which will last at least for the rest of this week. The drop in temperatures should be able to be felt from tomorrow, and rain will come in its wake, probably from Thursday or Friday. At the moment, nothing torrential is forecast, and it's expected to affect the north more than anywhere, but as always this can develop. The sure thing is that the beautiful weather we've had since the calima a week or so ago is coming to an end for the moment.

Well the heater's back out of the box and fleeces are on! We tried to get to Santa Cruz today but turned back it was throwing it down! Quite high winds all night with heavy rain. 15 deg but the wind drag's it down.

NAH

It threw it down with rain this morning on the GdS, but it's brightened up now and back to normal

I had reason to circumnavigate the island today and can report that despite the weather up in Pelinor's area, the worst by far was the northwest between Santiago del Teide and El Tanque.  This morning there was extremely heavy rain, fog, low visibility (under 100m), ankle deep water in some towns and it was dark, like night time.  (And a bunch of goddamned tourists driving in 1st gear.   :whack:)  By 1500 it had mostly cleared in La Laguna and from Pelinor's area around to the west it was blazing sunshine.

Very brave Myrtle  Hell of a trip in this weather! Sky's, as you say, have started to clear slightly and the grubby grey mist has gone from the mountains. Its just a thick bank of cloud with the sun peeking through every now and again. It hasn't rained for a couple of hours now.
