Guanche

It's quite bad in Santa Cruz, high winds and heavy rain. We just had a bit of a shower. It lasted about ten min. No wind and a bit of lightning.

Me no likey now :(  It's fearsome out there!  All my windows and doors are rattling and creaking, as are all the doors in the building.  The rain is battering down and outside the street lights are swinging like mad, the toldos are blustering, and the rain is sweeping across the Rambla in bursts.

It not nice  :closet:
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

Is this the worst you've seen Nova?

Never ride faster than your angel can fly.

It's far worse than Delta ... but at altitude. Even Delta never got to gust to 180 km/h, which is what happened this evening up by the observatory. But Delta was all over the island, the worst of this is at altitude. What Nova's describing, though, on the coast only goes to show what it must be like up in the crater!!!

It's been absolutely bloody wild up here, and two bouts of incredibly heavy rainfall (and a few blackouts too) but we seem to have a lull right now ...

Nova

It's eased off here now, for a while at least.  I've opened the patio door to let some air in  :hotfan:

Ditto what Janet said.  I even phoned Perikles in fright!

All of our shutters are (now finally) closed, and buckets placed under known leaks.  Towels are under doors/windows known to leak.  It is loud and you can't see more than a few metres, which does not bother me since all the shutters are shut.

Perhaps more tomorrow if we
