Well a nice sunny day here in Arafo. The clouds over the mountains are still dark and look quite angry, but either side of the valley there's blue skys with a few white clouds. The sea is not quite like a mill pond but not far off it.

The family in Santa Cruz said it was the worst they had seen in years. A brother in law had to go to the marina to re secure his boat said he could not remember ever seeing the sea so rough, and he's 62.

The Wife driving back from Santa Cruz (Despite me telling her to stay at her mothers!) said the traffic was at walking pace from the Carrifour exit all the way past Candelaria. We had four 3 meter conifers blow down, half a dozen tiles of an out building a tin of fish food emptied all over the place and a garden ornament smashed. Not bad I think. I had to turn the computer off last night as we were having quite a lot of electricity cuts so it was an early night.

Not that it matters in the grand scheme of things but I bet there's some very unhappy tourists there this week.  :giggle:
[countdown=01,06,2021,13,30][/countdown] until I return to Tenerife!

All Teide access roads now open. Let the snowball-on-the-car competitions begin!

I can see the snow from here!!  If a bit more cloud moves over I'll take a photograph  :D
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

From the Los Palos golf course this afternoon.  (It's a 3-D image if you view with red/green glasses)

Lovely photo.  We had to go up to Santa Cruz today and could not see Teide, but could see the rest of the snowy mountains in the sunshine.  Then - a rainbow!  Wish I had had a camera.

When we arrived in June it was colder in Tenerife than the heat wave we left behind in the UK. Even the crew of the plane laughed at us having to stay while they were flying straight back to the UK.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear EP, thanks.
Don't be worried about a little drizzle on Friday. It will be a glorious weekend.
If the pilots say anything ... just say El Prof said it's going to be sunny.

Does that count as a Green Alert?

I took a picture of Teide then forgot to post it!  Apologies for the satellite dish but I didn't have time to go up on the roof.  I've cropped as much of it off as I think it can take.
