The Centro Hípico del Sur equestrian centre in Buzanada will be home to another national show jumping championship over the weekend 17-19 November that will bring international-level riders from all over the country to the Canaries. It starts at 11am and entry is free.

Arona Ayuntamiento says that the Centro Hípico del Sur is one of the pioneers of equestrianism in the Canaries, having started in 1990. Currently, it organizes four competitions a year at a high level, with riders from throughout the islands competing alongside those from the mainland. The centre occupies some 12 acres divided into three working and two competition courses, a racetrack and ample external and internal spaces. It complies with all environmental and quality regulations, and is supervised by Seprona, the environmental and animal welfare division of the Guardia Civil.
