Ferry crash in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria

A ferry lost its engines and crashed in Las Palmas yesterday.  The DM has the story.

they have the story but they got the reason wrong ... it wasn't the engines that failed but, apparently, the steering electrics while it was still under power, so powered into the wall.

There's oil in the water, and it ruptured a sewage works pipework so there's all sorts in the water too ... and they've had to shut the sewage works and call a state of emergency to get it cleaned up ...

I just finished the video.  It has the usual Spanish hysteria, which I would expect under those conditions.
