It's the final episode of the second series tonight and it's gripping, so at this point I'm going to shout spoiler alert for anyone who might want to catch up.  Among the complex twisty plot:

***SPOILER ALERT***

There's an outbreak of Russian flu, people are dropping dead and people are scared.  A vaccine is being prepared and the world can't wait to get their hands on it.... only the "Russian Flu" is not a virus at all - it's chemical poisoning.  All over the world, sleeping agents are preparing to release cannisters of the real deadly virus.... everybody will want the vaccine.... only the vaccine isn't just a vaccine.  It's a drug that will render infertile everybody who takes it.... except the chosen ones..... and at the end of the previous episode we found out that the vaccine doesn't even work against the virus....

The first series aired last year, so maybe, just maybe, it inspired somebody with the idea  :-X :closet:

That's only a summary of the relevant bit of the plot to my comment.  Utopia is about a group of people who meet on an internet forum to discuss their favourite comic book, only this comic contains hidden clues to the virus plot so the forum group find themselves dangerously tangled up in it  :tiphat:

Quote from: Janet on Wed 30 Jul 2014, 15:53To date nine possible cases have been intercepted, two of which became "suspected", and in the event neither was ebola, though one of these two activated the emergency protocol in the Valencian autonomous community at the end of June.

And now two more have triggered the emergency protocol. A Nigerian and his sister in Alicante, taken to hospital in isolation status with police escort. (link)
