In Spain, I'd agree, but let's not underestimate the amount of pressure Teresa Romero was put under to find some way in which she was responsible for catching ebola, rather than it being the fault of the protective clothing, or the isolating facility (which was isolated with police tape and a no-entry sign, rather than hermetically sealed doors or the like ... ) ... it can't be allowed to be the authorities' fault, can it ...

but in the US? I think this is far more contagious, at least this time round, that anyone thinks, or is prepared to admit.

Ahh I didn't know that!

and now another nurse of the Liberian has gone down with it, but this one actually took a flight before she realized she was ill ... and now "US health officials are seeking 132 people who flew on a plane with" her ...

Meanwhile, "UN's Ebola mission chief says the world is falling behind in the race to contain the virus, with thousands of new cases predicted by December. "It is running faster than us, and it is winning the race," Anthony Banbury told the UN Security Council."

It would seem that the WHO, UN and all bleeding heart governments are actively aiding its spread!

This may sound callous, but the fact that mortality is approaching 70% is good news.  It means it will burn itself out more quickly.

Such a pity that a cure cannot be manufactured from the blood of those who have survived, at this stage.  I noted today the doctor who was given Zmapp and survived donated blood for plasma to the nurse in Dallas.  Well done to him.  I really hope it helps her.

I am sick of the bloody Mail using the acronym CDC as though I should know what it is. I do know what it is. I got so fed up I had to google it. As far as I know it is an American organization, the Centre for Disease Control or something like that. But they use the initials as though this was an organization that should be in my daily consciousness.

Am I alone in not know what it is?

And as to the jerk with the clipboard. The "CDC" hasn't answered whether it was one of their bods. Well if everyone else is denying it, the options are limited. Centre for Disease Control needs to be revised as a title, I think ... maybe change to CD"S" ... for "spread" ...

edit: apart from absolutely anything else, this will be a godsend to the conspiracy nuts who think the whole thing is a plot to frighten us and doesn't really exist ...

Well I thought everybody knew who they were....and it's Centers, not Centre.
