Has anybody had books delivered by UPS from Amazon.co.uk?

Since the kerfuffle some months ago, I don't shop with Amazon.co.uk anymore because they shipped everything via UPS who then wanted to ransom the goods for around €30. 

OH has had success getting things from Germany as they come via Deutschepost.  But the books are in German mostly.

So is anybody still ordering books in English from Amazon.co.uk, and is UPS delivering them or Correos?
