Blooming heck!! looks awful, glad we are higher than Holme Moss, and well out of it. 31ºc though when I was watering the garden a while ago. (Valverde,El Hierro)

The calima seems to be passing now, thank goodness! Today has been cooler and cloudier, much more bearable!

It was a cool morning but now the sun's out and it's scorching! I can just about make out the shape of La Gomera so visibility must be improving!

A pleasant 24ºc here in Valverde, El Hierro, and we could see La Gomera and Tenerife this morning. Still cool on a night though.

It's a scorcher!! But the skies are blue, the sea is blue and Teide is clear except for a bit of heat haze

It's soooo hot and I'm soooo tired I'm fit for absolutely nothing!! I've spent the whole afternoon trying to nap so that I could do something useful this evening but it hasn't happened

I can't concentrate on a damn thing when it's like this!

My car showed 28 degrees at around 2pm but shortly before 4pm my friend in Las Galletas said it was reading 31 on her terrace!! (Her thermometer obvs, not my car

)

At 5.45 pm on sunday, my car showed 40 degrees! The steering wheel was boiling hot.
