Well @macdonald5 quite a few locals have said they've never seen such weather here. In my experience it's a fluke.

We shall continue to hope; I am sure it'll all come right soon!

I got excited this morning when I saw the sun but now it's back to its usual full cloud cover.

We've been in Tenerife for a month and would say we've only seen the sun about half of the time we were here. Still had a great time though, on flight home at the moment.

Cloudy here in Valverde, El Hierro, but looking out to sea in the direction of La Gomera and Tenerife, it seems to be brightening.

What we really need is a week of rain, but that has never happened whilst I have lived here. Rain here is like sunshine in Yorkshire, almost never.
