Recently, Janet commented (verbally) that Iceland in Las Americas was to close and move to San Eugenio.  More recently some other people were responding to another person's question about it still being open, to which the answer was yes.  Their website has no information on  a prospective change in venue.  There does not seem to be any room for Iceland in CC San Eugenio, where I've been a lot frequently due to various appointments.

So, what's the scoop?

Janet

I've not heard any more, but just posting to say that I heard it was to be in San Eugenio near the water park, not in the CC. :)

Interesting, I shall have to keep an eye open for possible locations.

If they have failed in LA, to my mind it is due to a lack of parking and accessibility.  I cannot see that being different in San Eugenio, anyplace other than the CC.  There is a dinky parking lot near the water park, which is full even at 8 in the morning.  Time will tell.

I think they should simply move to Adeje where they have a choice of locations and loads of parking.  But what do I know?

Sounds like Spanish retailers think they know better than their customers. Ours do as well.  ::)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is there not underground parking below the store?

Myrtle Hogan-Lance

Not that I am aware, or have ever been able to find, so await correction too.

Delderek

There is an entrance to what looks like the car park next to the shop entrance down the slope.

Myrtle Hogan-Lance

Agreed, it looks like a car park but has no signs and if you look inside it looks more like a warehouse.  I've never seen a car enter or leave.  No doubt someone will weigh in on this one.

Delderek

Mmm. Maybe your right. I suppose it could be their warehouse.

Michael

Mind you, having an underground car park and not telling anyone does sound vaguely Tenerifeish.  :giggle:
