Here is a report saying they are planning to give rights of residence to anybody buying a property worth more than 160,000 euros. This is aimed at the Russian and Chinese markets.

I'd argue they pegged it too low and should raise it to around €500K.

Those "land grab" stories did a lot of damage to Spain's reputation among the ignorant, didn't they?  ::)
