absolutely Cyber. There's so much to agree with in the article, but I was appalled at its stereotyping of the south.

I'm reminded of an occurance a couple of years ago when Janet was bringing us back down the mountain one evening.

In the distance we could see the entire tourist area from LA to LC all lit up.

Janet commented what a shame it was that probably 90% of tourists never leave that area.

So true.

I'll not mention my former work colleague who commented that 'apart from Loro Parque, there's nothing on Tenerife'. It's bad for Janet's blood pressure.

Those who live here are probably mightily relieved not to have to deal with the 90% of the tourists.  I cringe every time I have to go to Los Cristianos.  And am grateful I do not have to watch fat tattooed chain smoking shirtless drunk chavs walking up and down my street. 

That makes me think back to the videos of commercials I think Janet posted, the ones designed to attract a different type of tourist, and makes me think they are great commercials.
