It's one of the things that Munich is most renowned for, but an Oktoberfest is now going to be held in Tenerife too. The traditional German beer festival will take place over twelve days between 12 and 22 October with Canarian and German food, Canarian wines and, of course, German beers, as well as typical Bavarian music. The archetypal beer tent will be set up in front of Miraverde in the Costa Adeje, and will have an attraction park alongside for all the family. The Oktoberfest will be open between 5pm and midnight between Monday and Thursday, and 11am to 2am on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Entrance will be free, and prices inside the tent will be "popular". The Oktoberfest will coincide with Adeje's Fiestas Patronales de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación.

I'm still recovering from the last Oktoberfest I went to but might give this one a go.   At least at this one, there will not be any smoking inside the tent.

Looking forward to this now ... it starts tomorrow, and I've never been to one before!

The organizers of the Costa Adeje Oktoberfest, which starts tomorrow, say that some 5,000 litres of beer and 1,000 kilos of meat will be on offer over the ten days of the beer festival. They expect between 10,000 and 15,000 people to attend.  JA

Eeek!  The numbers don't add up.  You can't only have 5000l of beer for 10000-15000 people.  That's a third to half a litre per person.  Personally, I plan to have more than that tonight, opening night, which means people coming late on in the festival may go thirsty.

They never say how these figures are estimated. Because this is totally new, how do they even begin to estimate?

yes. Up the TF1 to the Gran Sur exit.

Take slip road and go straight on rather than turning right into the branch that goes up the hill to the CC. Turn left into the tunnel under the motorway. At the end of the tunnel you'll have the Fañabe garden centre right in front of you and traffic will be going one way to your left. At this point, if it's where I think it is, you will be pretty close to it on your right, but you can't turn right and there's nowhere to park so you have to go round the block.

So ... turn left and then almost immediately right down a dual carriageway. At the end of this there'll be the Jacaranda hotel on the corner on your right, down the dual carriageway past the Isla Bonita to the roundabout, then turn right again .... it's a sort of dog leg here, just keep going right. You'll find yourself on a broad dual carriageway and halfway or so up you'll see the Aquamall CC on your left. There's quite a bit of parking around there and it's where I'm thinking of heading to park. It should be a short walk back up to the garden centre road then, and the tent should be very visible.
