Strange Sea

We have very big, loud waves in Las Galletas right now, with lots of spray and foam. It's unusual for the sea to be this vocal 

There is something very captivating about the sea when it's like this - enchanting, spellbinding.... If one had to choose a day to drown in the sea, this would be it

It was unusual high water this night and probably now again.

They even removed the sunbeds from las vistas beatch yesterday becouse otherwise to mutch of them go flouting of at night with extra gigh water.

Tide Chart: high tides and low tides in Los Cristianos (Tenerife) today Today Friday, 3 rd of August of 2012, the sun rose in Los Cristianos (Tenerife) at 7:31 h and sunset will be at 20:55 h. The moon set at 8:48 h at 261º west. Eventually, the moon will rise again in the east (96º) at 21:43 h. In the high tide and low tide chart, we can see that the first high tide was at 2:33 h and the next high tide at 14:47 h. The first low tide was at 8:32 h and the next low tide will be at 21:04 h. The tidal coefficient today is 94. With such a hight coefficient we will have big tides and the currents will also be very evident. The tide heights today are 0.9 m, -0.8 m, 1.2 m and -0.9 m. We can compare these levels with the maximum high tide recorded in the tide tables for Los Cristianos (Tenerife) which is of 1.4 m and a minimum height of -1.4 m.

112 has just announced that the main road around the harbour is closed to all traffic other than public transport. Haven't posted it because they'll reopen it and not announce it, probably ...
