A 30-year-old man is in hospital with head injuries after falling in an attempt to cross from one balcony to another in an apartment block in Avda Arquitecto Gómez Cuesta, Playa de las Américas, the road running up past Starco and around to the Green Hospital and on to the Zentral Centre. Emergency servies say that they were called out shortly past 6am this morning, and the man was taken to Hospitén Sur where his condition is said to be serious. The National Police is investigating the incident (which suggests the man is a foreigner ... ).

Guess he didn't pay attention to the Foreign Office ad on Atlantis telling him not to party on the balcony.

Without wishing to sound unsympathetic, this problem has an almost lemming quality about it.

NAH

I'd like to point out that there is no mention of alcohol being involved.....yet. Although I suspect there probably was  :D

I remember in April, when we were all sat on myrtles balcony, someone in the apartments on the opposite side climbing up to get to the top road.

At the end of my terrace I see the complex maintenance dudes climbing from the staircase onto the roof on a regular basis.

Mind you, that's in daylight and they're most likely sober.
