​Oktoberfest in Puerto de la Cruz

The Plaza de Europa will be the focus of Puerto de la Cruz' annual Oktoberfest on the weekend of 1, 2 and 3 September. The square and its surrounding streets will be full of stalls of beer and food, accompanied by traditional German music and dance.  It won't be hard to find for those who don't know the town because of the crowds, but Plaza de Europa is on the front near the original harbour with the fisherwoman statute.

The real Oktoberfest always starts in September. It was originally in October, but there is a substantial change in weather in Munich at the end of September, so they moved it forward to when there is much less chance of rain. 

They then constructed all the tents which meant it didn't really matter anyway, although there is still lots of space outside.
