Every year shortly before Christmas, the Canarian Government organizes a huge and extremely popular arts & crafts fair which alternates between the islands. Last year's was held in Gran Canaria, and this year's will be back in the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz between 6 and 10 December. There are normally around 150 or so arts and crafts stalls offering all kinds of traditional products, from food to jewellery, from leatherwork to lace, and from woodwork to carving, pottery to etchings, and in the run up to Christmas, it's a fantastic opportunity for a day out and some very individualistic presents.
