they're still on the "old" version.

Jeez, they're really on the ball.  ::)

And i've heard two different ages for the woman who died. I mean, just how can they get such a basic detail wrong?

When my dad died, he was transformed by the local radio from a 59 year old charge hand into a 60 year foreman.

This baffles me.  :017:

Salvamento Marítimo has confirmed that the decision to suspend the search and rescue operation was taken in light of the absence of concrete evidence that a third person was missing, and the fact that no-one has been reported as missing. This is not a confirmation that there were only two casualties, but that there is not clear evidence of a third victim despite witness statements that three people were indeed swept away. The Coastguard has asked shipping to advise the authorities in the event that a body is spotted.

I was walking past the beach in Playa Arena 2 days after the incident.

The waves were still a tad rough and there was blue/white police tape across the full width of the beach.

Then after hearing a whistle blast I glanced round to see that some knob had ducked under the tape and was paddling in the surf.

He retreated after a major bollocking from the lifeguard but bloody hell some people have short memories.  ::)

anyone that idiotic doesn't have a short memory ... he wouldn't even have known in order to forget because such idiots never inform themselves about anything. And then they blame everyone else when things go wrong ...
