The fifth "Guanche Cup" regatta, Fenautica 2017, will be held in the Marina del Sur in Las Galletas on 3 & 4 June. The previous four occasions have been great successes, with a huge marine fair and additional events for children, food stalls, music, competing yachts, charter craft, and much more ... a great weekend for any sea-lovers!

Fenautica is a genuine sea fiesta which organizers intend to appeal to residents, locals, visitors, tourists, adults, children, and sports people. There is further information on the Marina del Sur website HERE, and the following video will hopefully give a taste of the event, one not to be missed!

Fenautica 2017 is this weekend, and Arona Ayuntamiento has announced that there will be many new features this year, including the first Open Cazafotosub and Videosub Costa del Silencio, an underwater photography competition to capture images of as many different species as possible in just five hours. Those interested in taking part need to register in advance by email to elvarillaso@gmail.com or to info@fenautica.com, or by phone to +34 628 136 362. The entries will be displayed as part of Fenautica's photographic exhibitions.

Over the two days, some 10,000 are expected to visit the fair, and apart from the main regatta with various vessels in different categories competing for the fifth Guanche Cup, there will be a simulated coastguard rescue with lifeboat and helicopter on Saturday at 2pm, as well as a wide range of activities for all the public, including diving, kayaks, paddle surf, jet skis, releasing turtles, and many excursions to go whale and dolphin watching. There will also be live music, food stalls, arts and crafts ... it really is a fair for everyone.

The Peter Pan boat will once again ferry between Los Cristianos and Las Galletas, leaving Los Cristianos at 11am, 1pm and 4pm on Saturday, and 11am and 1pm on Sunday. It will return from Las Galletas Marina del Sur at 3pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, and 12 noon and 5.30pm on Sunday.
