Adeje Ayuntamiento has announced the Holi Mela Festival of Colours this Sunday, 12 March, in Plaza Fañabe between 1 and 6pm. As always there will be music, dance, entertainments, and above all, colour! The event is organized by the Tenerife South Hindu Association, and is getting more popular each year with tourists and residents alike. This is a living and colourful prime example of the convivencia which has become Adeje's byword.

well I will just say that this is Adeje, not Arona, and that was Arona ... but I don't know how much of a difference that will actually make, and I for one am not up for finding out ...

:nono:

edit: just checked back and that was the Indian Ratha Yatra festival in Las Américas rather than the Holi Mela, or any other type of Mela ... but still don't know how much of a difference ...

The Holi festival is the one where you through bags of powdered colour at one another.

Yes and yes, there have been four or five episodes so far.  Amanda Redman and Neil Morrisey, it's very easy watching with some beautiful scenery  :great:
