I have no time for Christianity but at least its adherents do not go on murderous rampages any more like muslims do.

Fixed that for you  :tiphat:
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

The President of the Canaries has now had to make a statement about it all. His statement was "there are bigger things to worry about".

He's right, of course, but the level of couldn'tgiveafuckaboutanythingbutmyowncrotch-ness about it, and the fact that it was accepted as an entry by carnival organizers representing the ayuntamiento, and was then awarded first prize by a jury ... it all says that society really has got a bit of a challenge ...

and moving neatly on from that ...

"Abogados Cristianos" (Christian lawyers) say that they will take it to the courts (not quite the inquisition but .. ) ...

They say they will open a file with the Public Prosecutor to start an action for "hate crime". They are using the words "actuación vejatoria" (kind of "degrading performance") to describe the Drag Queen's tableaux. They say "this association considers that this drag act, in protest at which a petition has now collected over 25,000 signatures, suggests a hate crime against religious feelings".

Well I suppose if it's good for one side, why not the other!

Mmnn, when I was young these queers would have been put in prison. Some things were better in the old days. and no I don't apologise for the word queers, because that's exactly what they are.

Correct. If they were, they wouldn't  be friends or family.

I respect people's right to believe whatever they like whilst having no respect whatsoever for the beliefs themselves.

But having said that, I would never go out of my way to wind them up.

The guy is a knob.  ::)
