We cannot see El Hierro from the west of Tenerife today but since you can see us I'll wave.

Some evenings when the sun sets we can see El  Hierro from Las Galettas .
From you're position its probably totally behind Gomera .

no, we can see El Hierro from this part of the island, not in detail but certainly the shape of it, and as you say, especially in silhouette at sunset
