Why do people say "oh good" when the weather's bloody unbearable?

Whenever I post, whether on a forum, FB, or on my own site, about a heatwave or calima, people say "oh good", can't wait, bring it on, love the heat ...

Now I find the sort of weather we have right now bloody unbearable - it's 34º outside at 8pm - and I don't think it's just me being weird. Surely the human body has a "normal" temperature, and anything within a few degrees either way feels uncomfortable.

So who are these fools who want the temperature to be in the high 30s? Are their bodies different? Or are they just people who just need to show off?

Now I don't think you've had that response on this forum  ;)

I'm inclined to go with your last idea on this one, that it's a showing off thing.  Either that or these are clueless sun worshipers who envisage a glorious day on the beach with sunshine and crystal blue skies rather than this intolerable, thick, mucky heat and oppressive dust cloud  :undecided:
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.
