There was more smoke later on and there was a fair bit of noise by the time I went to bed at 1.30, but still nothing like previous years  :undecided:

There was also a certain football match  between Spain and France last night so a lot of people were possibly glued to their televisions. :)

For what shall it profit a man, to gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his own soul?

A-ha!  That explains the horns and overuse of the bell.  One of the bars downstairs has a bell that sounds just like the one on Bejewelled - it's highly distracting  :-X

I hope they don't have their beach parties tonight instead...  :nono:

Wiped the floor with them, they did! Beautiful football, made the French look "lamentable" said one commentator on telecinco! They've never beaten the French in international competition before.

I can't see anyone beating them other than the Germans, and that's such a different style of football it could be completely one-sided ... to either side! Would be a fascinating final. But of course England will stop the Germans getting to the final, won't they ... ??  :nut:

I'm still crying about the Republic of Ireland.  And don't even start me on Northern Ireland...

Indeed .... the night of burning plastic was postponed until after the match.
I took the dogs out during the half time break .... the only fires were the farmers taking advantage and there were lots of little kids around looking very impatient.
