The MIL get a cleaner from the council twice a week. She's had them for a few years and till recently they have been great. They are rotated every six months and spend a total of three hours in two visits per week. However over the past six week the wife has been forced to complain about two and had them replaced. One for lying, (there is a suspicion that she was stealing but there was no hard evidence).
The second one was going to the MIL's house and spending half the allotted cleaning time sitting in the kitchen having her breakfast! Also the small matter of not cleaning!

The third cleaner in six weeks is starting tomorrow. We only hope she is an improvement. The point of the post is, in the present working climate why risk a paying job, even if it is just above minimum wage, I just find it madness.......or am I out of step?

Second only to Pelinor i've probably been instrumental in more people losing their jobs than any of us.

This was only because I was the only bugger in our store who knew how to use the CCTV system. Especially the last one which had a 3 month hard drive and 16 cameras.

Thinking back, the ones which come to mind had one thing in common. They were all single, no mortgage, no kids. Maybe that's why they didn't care?

[ot]3 months of video on one hard drive. Eat your heart out @Nova:giggle:[/ot]

Hell I have fired cleaners without any cctv evidence.  Just the fact that my house wasn't cleaned.
