Prof, you are right.  Although this year, for the first time, us adults are requested to bring 1kg of non-perishable food as well as our entry fee.  We always took food anyway, but I am happy they have decided to formalise it.  But their promotion is pretty low-key.

We did the run in Alcalá yesterday.  Here I am all ready for take off:

Having not been able to run for six months due to an injury, I was very happy to even start.  I finished okay, overtaking 18 people on my way, most of whom were less than half my age.  Foot is fine.

Sadly this year there were far fewer participants.  I would say there were about a third as many as in the past few years.  I have no idea why that would be, other than perhaps they did not get the word out.  This is a superb race, very well organised.  The support from people on the street, on the beach, in the bars and cafes, on benches and balconies, was out of this world.
