Warning for dog owners

I've just had a FB notification from a niece of ours who lives in the South. It's about a white powder that's sprinkled on the base of trees by someone. According to the info its a poison and can kill a dog within a couple of days after ingestion. There is a photo which clearly shows a white powder on the base of a tree. How good this info is is unknown, but be careful and spread the word. Better safe than sorry.

Another favourite of the pet-poisoners is antifreeze.  Cats will willingly drink it for instance.
