Paraglider seriously injured after Taucho zone take-off accident

A paraglider was seriously injured this afternoon after taking off from the Taucho launch zone. The accident happened shortly after 2pm and the 58-year-old man suffered serious head injuries. Given the terrain, he needed to be rescued by helicopter and was then transferred to the Adeje bomberos helipad, and then taken by ambulance to Hospitén Sur, where he remains in serious condition. JA
