Tráfico has announced that from Monday, any transactions requiring payment will not be able to be made with cash. The measure is coming into force in the Canaries, Catalonia and Madrid, joining almost all of the rest of country where regional offices either adopted it after taking part in a pilot project, or initiated the proven system in May. Tráfico says that the measure increases security and reduces the possibility of error, and that the numbers using cash have steadily fallen in any case: the time was thus right to implement the ban, particularly given the alternative mechanisms the public had to make payments. These include debit and credit cards, payment in a bank of modelo 791, or bank transfer direct to a Tráfico central account. JA

So they don't trust their own staff either

Presumably, people without a bank account aren't going to pay their fines anyway. Or is that statement scrotist? Hey - I've invented a word.  :cheezy:

Janet

This isn't payment for fines, but for procedures ... tramites ... changes of licences, permisos ...

Fines are payable at the post office or bank, aren't they??
