@Myrtle Hogan-Lance, "unread posts since last visit" can be a bit dodgy since it's cookie based.  If you've already made a visit to the forum since the post was made, whether you viewed the unread posts at that time or not, the forum will often expire the unread posts that would have shown on that visit so that the next time you visit they don't show.  It isn't "unread since the last time you looked " or "unread since three visits ago", so it's easy to miss posts that way.  After reviewing the "unread posts since last visit" it's often worthwhile clicking on the "view all unread posts" button to make sure.

@Nova, I understand but it has never been like this before.  This has been happening over the past few days.  Will continue to monitor.

I have just submitted my declaración de la renta 2015 online, which took all of 10 minutes, and 8 of those were spent just checking I hadn't missed anything.  I love how easy it is with their borrador system and my digital certificate.  I don't know how I ever got by without my digital certificate  :lovecomp:

I am nearly getting wound up for the rant thread.  After my computer died in January, I lost my certificate.  No one knows where to recover it from, and I heard the certificates are only valid for a couple of years (mine was issued 29/04/14) so I thought I'd restart the process.  But Firefox won't let me do it!  I've disabled antivirus software and add-ons.  I tried Edge; it is not one of the permitted browsers.  Internet Explorer is not available on Windows 10.  I get the stupid message below and simply cannot get past it.

Tomorrow I am going to the Ayuntamiento to see if they can help me.  Anybody want to bet they can't?

It isn't saying your certificate is bad, it's saying their certificate is untrusted - they probably let it get out of date.  Click on Advanced and see if there's a way to force the trust or add an exception.

Did, Nova, and that is the screenshot.

Even back on Win7 and Firefox <whatever> it always complained about the government's certificate.  Now on Win10 I cannot bypass it.

Grumble grumble grumble.

Update:  OH did some scouting around.  He advised me to install Java (not yet done on this computer since I got it end January) and said when he was on the site, it said there was some software you had do load.

I did both.  Guess what?

RESULT!!!!!!
   :08:

Last time they put my number on the screen and I printed it; this time they sent me an email which I am about to go pick up.

Should be smooth sailing from here!

(Yes old Myrtle is an optimist.  Even after five and a half years of living here.)

Just went to the Ayuntamiento to present paperwork.  Got a parking place right out front.  Waited all of perhaps 60 seconds to be seen.  Left in about 5 minutes, paperwork in hand.  Returned home; email was waiting for me so I could download my certificate.  Done, and backed up.

Piece of cake!!!

I know quite a few of us now use the digital certificate to do everything online, so I thought I would share my mistake as a warning to you all.  You can only renew the digital certificate online before your current certificate expires.  Up to 60 days before, in fact, so plan ahead.  You cannot renew it online after it has expired.  Not even one week after.  I tell you this from experience.  Crap, I'll have to drag my ass out to the cultural centre now to renew it in person  :banghead:
