Actually, no.  How much are they?  As much as having the Canarian government bill you for a rescue?

From €98 to €495. But they wouldn't charge her unless she'd done something stupid would they?

Unless they fine Germans automatically now?  :giggle:

Janet

they'd have to decide that she fell because she was unprepared or trying to do it in flipflops ... something along those lines.

Marion

Nprobably cheaper to get a rescue. It's €750 over Los Gigantes I think. Though the rescue might be a much shorter trip if they just take you to the playing fields.

Janet

Quotea rescue involving up to 4 victims will have a ceiling of €6,000. In very rare cases where larger groups are involved the ceiling will be set at €8,000 for 5-8 needing rescue, €10,000 for 9-16, and €12,000 for 16+. The law also allows got the charges to be levied against the estate of anyone who dies during their rescue, a measure which the regional Goverment insists complies with the provisions of national fiscal legislation.

Do they actually apply the fines @Janet ? I've never heard of it being done?

Achtung Freunden,

2 minutes ago a red and white helicopter flew low from the Masca area heading southeast.

Janet

area alone suggests it's a hiker ... in a heatwave FFS ...

at least it's not a fire helicopter ...
