Can anybody tell me where to find a polish for pewter?  I haven't found any metal polish anywhere.

Also, my John Lewis silver polish is nearing the end of its life so I need silver polish - ideas?

Ta in advance.

I've been looking and have not found anything.  Of course, I have been looking in the cleaning products aisle and could well be in confectionery.  I cannot fathom the minds of the product placement officials at Mercadona.

I've got a feeling it's near the rubbish bags .... or the shoe polish ... :017:

I'll have a look next time I'm shopping if you haven't found it by then.

Just vinegar?  What kind?

Whichever one you don't mind the smell of  :D  I soak my silver rings in Sarsons but they come out smelling a bit like a chip shop

I am a peasant though, I've never owned any real silver, just a few bits of jewellery.

Seriously off-topic, but I know what you mean. I passed out once, driving a car. I woke up surrounded by nuns and absolutely reeking of fish and chips. It turned out that the first person on the scene of the crash thought the best remedy was to dowse me in vinegar. I never did find out why.  :017:

antiseptic, recognized even as early as the bible (Jesus was given vinegar to drink, supposedly, but it wasn't an insult as usually interpreted, but an attempt to help ... ). Romans were required by law to keep it indoors in case of (all too frequent) fires, when it was to be used on raw skin .... owwwwwwww ...

Man I wish I had been there for that!  Probably would have been blamed though.
