Long time since the roofs rattled and the house shook, the volcanoes are sleeping and big tremors have stopped, even the scruffy tree huggers are returning.

I still have my U.K. passport, I also have an additional surname, surrendered my green residents paper, given a Spanish D.N.I., life has suddenly become a lot easier.

Bosslady is well, thanks for asking. She is still awaiting the result of her 2 year 8 month application for nationality, the local pees takers take great pleasure in telling her she is still a guiri.

I no longer need my passport when travelling by air to other islands, or booking into hotels. Travelling by ferry, no tickets needed, present the I.D. card when booking and present the same when boarding, the person checking passengers boarding, just swipes the I.D. card though a hand held computer, hey modern science  :great:

Do you have to apply for a Spanish passport separately?  Presumably your Spanish DNI is valid for travelling to the UK for now, but once Brexit is complete you'll probably need to show a full passport, I'm guessing...
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.
