Quote from: Janet on Mon 24 Mar 2014, 14:08it does seem that we will just be settling for some very blustery weather instead. The alert is active from tomorrow.

Not a trace of air movement outside

A breeze tomorrow.
It'll probably get a bit blowy on Friday with the rain . . . but by then they will have worked themselves up into a state of hysterical anticipation and have kittens with alerts dangling from their tails.

But right now there is no weather alert - it's a pre alert for a possible future alert.

Aemet has a yellow alert ...

Yeah but . . . yeah but . . . . . that's always there.

What a gorgeous day
.

:49:

Janet

yep, still, sunny, glorious ... :D

edit. ... it seems to be very windy in the north and meteorologists are forecasting some rain for the weekend, and yet another "polar snap", with a notable drop in temperature and snow above 2,000m.

poker

Teide (1718 m) So no snow over the weekend  ???? ........

Janet

well the caldera is 2,000 or so, so should be snow on the peak!

(Teide is a bit  more than 1718 m ... )

That's the biggest thing I miss about Tenerife: the weather. It's so grey and depressing all the time in southern England.
