The heaviest rain should be over by mid-afternoon because the alert ends at 3pm. High winds are also forecast, gusting to 85 km/h, but at altitude. So what's with the weather here today?  It's just kind of grey and... nothingy

It's torrential here tonight, the heaviest it's been over the past few days. It is throwing it down at the moment.

Yep, it's come straight for the west coast ... Meteolamatanza has been watching it grow and grow over the past hour or so ...

So far we've had 29mm since last night and it does not look like stopping anytime soon.

I would love to know how the reservoirs are faring now; they were reported to be down to 10% before the rain.  Surely all this rains has made an improvement but it would be interesting to know how much of one.
