Teide has had its first snows of 2018. Not too much, it must be said, but temperatures were below zero as the promised weather front swept in overnight. The forecast is for the unsettled spell to be with us much of this week, and at present some sections of some access roads to the National Park are closed because of ice on the carriageway. If anyone is thinking of going up to see some snow, check on the Cabildo road map first – there's a link on the winter weather post on my website. The map is constantly updated and shows where there are closures, and the reasons for them, though the Cabildo itself has requested the public to stay away from the caldera for the time being. The following photo is from Aemet at the Izaña observatory (click to expand).

@Janet I don't see any quotes either.

Further to what @Marion said, I was driving back to Puerto Santiago from Adeje just around noon, when it had already started raining.  Traffic heading southbound was at a DEAD STOP for 2km north of Alcalá.  Because of a little rain!

It's pretty fierce outside with wind, rain and rainbows.  For a while I thought the Flipper Uno might capsize it was rolling so much.  Glad I am not out on the water this afternoon.

@Nova there seems a problem with the quotes ... :confused:

Michael

I made it to Lidl and back between showers then gave up and went back to bed at 2pm.  :D

On the postive side, at least our night security guard won't have to straighten the sunbeds around the pool tonight.  :great:
[countdown=01,06,2021,13,30][/countdown] until I return to Tenerife! :toothygrin:

I think it's the way Facebook videos embed. I don't know whether you've noticed but quoting a post with a FB video in it breaks the layout of the whole post because I think embedding Facebook videos - and only Facebook videos - uses the quote system in a hidden funky way.  Can you quote ok when there isn't a FB video embed in the same post?
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.
