Tenerife Weather

We've only just turned the corner into the winter season and already the first cold snap is approaching. Over the next few days we should see temperatures drop quite sharply, meteorologists say, because of a northern weather front which will bring clouds and showers. The rain should mainly be in the north east of Tenerife, and could be quite an intense downpour over in La Palma, but here the showers should be scattered and fairly light. Winter is coming ...

What would you consider to be a cold snap?

Haven't had a frost yet here in my part of Kent, but it's certainly chilly first thing on the way to work and it was 6c on the way to Lidl to do some shopping today at 8.30.

for us, a cold snap is temps around 18-20º on the coast, 13-15º in the medianías, and possibly even below zero at altitude.

A mere 25 or so in Puerto Santiago....@Michael's been seen in the pool and I imagine @Marion is at the other one.

we just have that cloud from the photo earlier, but it's bigger, darker, and lit by sunlight ... positively Wagnerian! but no rain.

It didn't last long, the sun's out now, but it was very pleasant while it lasted

It's been a beautiful day up here. We don't usually go out to the pool at the weekend as it is a bit busier than normal. I'm having a lazy day, still in my tshirt nightie!! Matts had a busier day, he washed the floors inside and out, polished the railings of the terrace, washed all the windows and then finished them off using the Karcher window gadget I kindly bought for him as a present. I made the bed....

He's having a rest and watching football on the telly now.
