Lots of calima dust again today .....
Was already sneesing at night and now tru the day also got eyes itching ....
I want some rain that cleans it out of the air.

Janet

same here, perikles has been thinking he has a cold but it seems clearly to be a calima reaction, as you say itchy eyes, runny nose. Filthy air, and yet again I can't begin to understand the people who think calimas and heatwaves are good news for us here!

Janet,

Is there somewhere in Tenerife ( south ? ) a station mesuring the dust particles in the air you can follow online?

I know it exists in Belgium, but to follow dust from diesel and factories for peaple with healthproblems.

Hopefully it will clear soon so Pericles and me and Alexander stop sneesing :).

Janet

The only one I know is THIS one (doesn't appear to be working right at the moment but it's normally OK).

Someone sneezed on the meter and it broke today  :cheesy:

And with today being the midway point between the autumn equinox and the winter solstice comes the news that after several unnaturally warm weeks, we now have a more wintery feel with lower temperatures which will become more noticeable towards the weekend. We might even see a little rain from this weekend, something that will please many who have a wary eye on the reservoirs here - currently around 40% average and needing some decent rainfall. Next week a meteorological depression could cause some instability - and trigger the first post of the winter weather 2017-18 post! For the moment, happy Halloween!

If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

So are you ready to revisit this diagnosis, Mrs Magic Mountain?  :73:

Janet

pfft ... looked just like a calima reaction, until I got it too ... after the calima had gone! I admit that it's worse than I thought it was when I thought it was a calima reaction, but when a bloke's ill, it's hard to tell ... :giggle:

Oh dear, it's going round in tenerife and in the uk.
