I like Puerto Colon. I have a timeshare in La Pinta and the views are fantastic.  :great:

Yes we like the area too but poolside friends found an uglier side of the Port area on New Years Eve
They were sitting on wall near the Pool Centre when a young man & female asked them for money Our friend said no way,  the man then punched him on side of his face while the female punched his wife !!
'Luckily' our friend had been an amauter boxer and although mature still pretty fit so threw the guy a heavy punch in his walnuts He and his companion then made off
Hate to be over wary when out but some thugs about

Janet

The calima's dispersing, thank god. It's going very slowly but the air is evidently clearing bit by bit. It seems there's a new weather system approaching, though, and it should reach us towards the end of the week ... just in time for the Reyes parades.  ::)

Apparently it's caused by a "deep depression" bringing wet weather but it won't be able to reach us fully because of the opposing pressure of the African system that's causing the current calima, but we'll get the edge of it, and that should bring windy weather, if not actual rain. That wind might bring more calima ... or the borrasco will overpower the African system and we'll get rain. No doubt there will be more clarity in due course, but for the moment, we can expect an interesting weekend weather-wise!

Janet

all the clouds have been blown away ...

AFTER last night's howling gale, Aemet has decided to issue a yellow alert for winds today gusting to 75km/h. They are having a laugh. These are among the strongest gusts I've felt here. There have been worse, but not too many.

Nova

Sunny and a little bit breezy here...
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.
