A helicopter has fallen as it was attempting to fight the fire in La Palma. The helicopter was part of the BrifPuntagorda (La Palma forest fire unit) team, which confirms that all the crew are fine. Miraculously, no-one was harmed.

We got up to 38.xx but it's fucking miserably hot.  Not expecting any respite for a few days.

Just checked, 38.5 now.

Sleeping is the problem.  Have you gone down to the cave @Janet  and @Perikles?

Janet

@Myrtle Hogan-Lance  he has but he didn't like it a lot ... I haven't ...

Perikles

I've slept thrice in the cave. It's cool, but the total silence is a bit eery. I'm going to try it again tonght.

Myrtle Hogan-Lance

Do, it's fucking awful outside.  @Janet, what's keeping you?????

Glad the helicopter bomberos are okay.

Malteser Monkey

What?  Sleeping in a cave, on your own? Now that's what i call scary. That would totally freak me out.

Myrtle Hogan-Lance

@Anne 2009  my love, they have a cave which @Perikles dug out shovelful by shovelful on his own.  It's nice!

Michael

The warmest i've seen today was 32deg. OMT.
