Seriously?  Earlier it looked like the only place with sun was around your way.

We have grey cloud, 17 degrees.  Boo hiss.  Sick of winter.

We've had glorious sunshine since I came back from Tenerife so that makes approx. 3 weeks in all.

It may only be 3 weeks but it rained this morning and I think i'm beginning to understand why you folks get all excited when it rains.

It's so refreshing.  :D

The first heatwave of summer proper is here with the arrival of a calima which will see temperatures in excess of 30º today, and approaching 40º tomorrow, particularly in the medianías. Meteorologists say that as normal at this time of year, the Azores anticyclone is responsible, bringing hot air from the African continent, and the length of the heatwave depends on how the two weather systems interact – the Canaries are caught in the middle. In previous years the June calima has lasted anything from three days to A fortnight, and all that is clear is that thermometers will see their registers increase "notably".  Above is Aemet's temperature model for tomorrow, and HERE is a reminder of general advice on staying safe in heatwaves. Come to Arafo and experience October in July! Its been over cast but warm for the past few days here in Arafo, with Santa Cruz being decidedly dull. But today the weather broke and not in a good way. Clouds right down, in fact at one point we were in the clouds. 17deg and constant light rain. Dull dark and damp! :rain2:
