Okay, 8.4mm here since my last post.  That is rain.

Are you still with us? Could we have a damage report please?

 :039:

yes, we're here, and the sun is out and shining, and it's a beautiful day ... but by god that was some cloudburst last night!

We have not floated away and it's gorgeous out.  It would be perfect with a working telephone.

The front heading for us that was said to be bringing "significant weather" in the middle of next week appears to be weakening. Meteorologists say that although they will continue to monitor it closely, it does now seem that it won't be at all as severe as previously feared. JA

Our Weds/Thurs/Fri rain forecast is for 17mm/.1mm/1.mm.  Quite a comedown from 87mm.

Well it's grey and a bit blustery this morning.  The sky looks a lot like #cccccc and the sea more like #909090
If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know amazing.

I wonder about the turtle's variation in rain quantities. I'm still finding 100mm forecast ... but over a 12 hour period, compared with 30 in one hour.

Anyway, meanwhile ...

The combination of the cyclone forming to the west (and moving away from us) and the approaching front bringing rain tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday seems to be behind high winds that have now resulted in Aemet yellow alerts in the western islands, and orange in La Palma. The Government itself has issued a pre-alert from 10am this morning for winds gusting to 100 km/h. The winds will still be here by Wednesday, when the rain arrives ...

I've been getting my forecasts from eltiempo.es.

Rain is on the up.  Current Weds/Thurs/Fri forecast is 29mm/1.2mm/2.1mm.

Perikles

Not getting at anybody at all, I hereby issue an orange alert for plentiful random and meaningless forecasts between Monday afternoon and Friday morning. :Woot_Emoticon:
