[countdown=01,06,2021,13,30][/countdown] until I return to Tenerife!

I have learned that the trick is to close all outside doors when a calima strikes.  The cool air in the house lasts for 2-3 days.

I had the front and back windows open to get a through-draft, but my god it was blowing hot air through like a hairdryer!!!  I've closed the back window now.  This is going to be bad  :toohot:

They're forecasting it worse down on the coast today, and the wind has died off a bit up here and it's not as bad as yesterday. It should be starting to thin out and die away tomorrow .....

they are vile though. :scowl:

Cruelty to weather forecasters - they're only trying to help.  ;)

We got this in an email yesterday evening:

Janet

my god ... what would it take to call it off? ... and are you still going??

Myrtle Hogan-Lance

We'll monitor their site today and see if they call it off.  Otherwise, it will be cooler down there but if I arrive and it's too hot, I will let OH run as he likes running in hot weather.

It will be even more fun since the car declined to start on Thursday morning (after arriving home in normal fashion on Wednesday) and so was grua'd away to Victoria in Las Chafiras (thinking about starting a Tenerife rant about there only being one Merc dealer in the south) who cannot even look at it til Monday.  There are no rental cars available from Avis locally so we have to get a cab down and back.  This is going to be about the world's most expensive small distance run, and it may not even happen for me!
