not much fun with a filthy calima forecast! Apparently the forecast PM10 levels in excess of 500 µg/m3 are a "public emergency"!

That's something I'm loving about the Hampshire countryside, the really clean, fresh, cool, dust-free air!  It's sooo good to breathe!  :great:

absolutely, my part of the UK, really, if anywhere is these days, and I loved it in Autumn with the cool, damp fresh ... and yes dust free!! ... air that you can actually breathe!

Hepa

Bit of a calima here now, much warmer though, Jet wash the paths and terraces seems a good idea, finally get rid of four months of builders dust.............. :D

From my website ...  we're feeling cold with 12º ... and it's about to get colder!!!  :scarfgirl:

The recent calima may have surprised those who thought calimas always brought hot air because as often happens in winter, the winds bringing the dust have been really quite cold, especially at night. And it's about to get colder as the next two transition days introduce a northerly front bringing cold air and rain, especially in the north. Temperatures will fall at all levels, forecasters predict, and the air will be damp even for those who don't get any rain. At least the dry, dusty and pathogen-laden calima is history, for now!

Bloody hell, and there's me thinking that it NEVER dropped below 20  :017:

I think it'll be more than 12 down on the coast ... we're at just under 1000m, so quite high.
