we're all in the west though, and it was the north and east that was going to get it worst.

Those gales have hit!  I've had to wind in my toldo and bring in the cushions.  Next door's gazebo looks like it's about to take off!!

It is calm and sunny in Puerto Santiago.  Beautiful day, perfect temperature.

and calm up the hill too ... I've seen photos of the sea in the north over the last two days and they did indeed get the worst of it. That southern peak of Tenerife though is always liable to catch a few gusts!

The wind is really picking up here now but it is still so very pleasant.

Pleasant at poolside but had to put parasol down for safety ....very stiff breeze

It's warm and sunny and otherwise a lovely day.  I was sitting out on the terrace with my Macbook until the wind picked up so that I had to wind the toldo in.  But that wind now... it's howling!!  I have both my windows open as usual and my poor curtains are nearly being ripped to shreds with the gale that's blowing across the window.  Also the mat from by the patio door to the terrace has been hurled almost the length of the room!  I don't know how next door's gazebo is still there

It's cloudy and still today, and horribly muggy...
