yes, quiet and calm, still have the calima in the sense that the air is just full of dust, but it's starting to disperse, could be another several days before it clears completely ... but it's already noticeably cooler here in the medianías where we have the heat worst. It's bearable today, and hopefully with all the doors open the house will start to cool down ... last night was really rather too warm for comfort, or sleep!!

My eyes have been so sore for days despite my eye drops and cream. I'll be gad when the dust settles.

It's still bloody hot but there's a cool-ish breeze on my terrace and it looks like the calima is beginning to break.  I can just about make out the outline of La Gomera through the haze

and up here too, still bloody hot, but a much cooler breeze today. I don't say "a cool breeze" ... but it is "cooler"

You could do something constructive witt yer time....go fishing at Palm Mar. You can I believe rest your fishing rod on the 'No Fishing' sign.
