A body has been washed up in the Anaga area in north Tenerife. It is said to be that of a man, though it had clearly been in the sea for some time, and inevitably some are speculating that it could be one of the men who have been missing in Tenerife for some time – see HERE. The grim find was made on some rocks near Chamorga Beach around midday yesterday, and it was a complex operation to recover it due to the sheer and rocky terrain. In the end, after Policía Local officers and divers had failed to recover it, Nationals clambered down to attach the body to the winch of a rescue helicopter which had had to be scrambled. An autopsy will now be carried out, and hopefully it will provide an identification of the man, as well as a cause of death. JA

Think that should be 'find', same on your website  :D

If it is one of the missing men that still leaves 3 or 4 to turn up but will at least bring closure for one of the families.

 :thanx:

and as Nova's just said, it will be very odd if it turns out to be the one who suddenly "isn't missing" ...

Preliminary conclusions on the body found washed ashore in Anaga are inconclusive, but have been able to rule out that it is that of Antonio Muñoz, the postgraduate student from ULL who disappeared in April (link). National Police say that Antonio's family have been told, and one can only imagine the horror they've been living through, and sympathise with them that they are once more in limbo over his disappearance. The body found, meanwhile, is still unidentified. JA
